Our group started in early January 2017, when Michael Mackay-Blair posted in the Manjimup Notice Board group on FaceBook, asking if there were any archers in the area wanting to meet up and shoot archery. Soon after Michael created the Manjimup Archery Facebook group. With some 30+ members requesting to join the group shortly after.

About 9 members of the group met at Tall Timbers and discussed all things archery and decided it would be good to to see if the interest was there to meet and shoot together and possibly attempt to form an archery club.

 

After this meeting it was decided we would call ourselves Southern Forests Archers, to be inclusive of all archers in the region and not just Manjimup.

​

We became and officially incorporated and TAA Affiliated club in April 2018. Our home is in the bush reserve of the Manjimup Rifle Club and we meet on 2nd and 4th Sundays every month.

Our objective is to promote archery in all it forms in a safe, inclusive and supportive manner, with the hope that we can grow our archery club in the Southern Forests and Warren-Blackwood region.
